Full renovation and extension of the iconic Punta del Este shopping mall designed by architect Carlos Ott in the 1990s. The building used to have a curved façade facing Roosevelt Avenue. MARQ’s proposal brings new value to this façade by adding new curved shells that follow the original logic. It also introduces a new contemporary design to the façade on the other side of the building.

The building has three floors with double and triple height spaces crowned by skylights that allow plenty of natural light into the building. The food court—with an outdoor terrace and sea views—is on the third level, which also houses a state‑of‑the‑art movie theater.

All the facilities were newly built, and new evacuation routes were created in compliance with current regulations.
